Privacy policy
Last updated: April 14, 2026
BloodPulse (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a platform to connect blood donors and people who need blood in emergencies. This policy describes how we handle personal information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may process:
- Account and profile data: such as name, phone number, city, and blood group when you register or update your profile.
- Emergency requests: details you submit when requesting blood (for example hospital, message, urgency context).
- Donor and response data: when you respond to requests or submit donation-related information.
- Messages: content you send through in-app chat, including optional attachments you choose to share.
- Device and push tokens: data needed to deliver notifications (for example FCM tokens), where enabled.
- Technical data: such as IP address, app version, and diagnostic logs as permitted by your device and platform.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Operate and improve the Services, including matching donors and requests by city and blood group.
- Send service-related notifications and, where you allow, push alerts about emergencies or messages.
- Maintain safety, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- Provide admin tools for moderation, support, and network integrity.
Legal bases (where applicable)
Where required by law, we rely on appropriate bases such as performance of a contract, legitimate interests (for example fraud prevention and service improvement), or consent—for example for certain notifications or optional features.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service providers who assist us (for example cloud hosting, email, or push notification infrastructure), under strict confidentiality and security requirements.
- Other users as needed for the product to work—for example showing your request or donor profile to relevant users in your city.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We may use providers such as Google Firebase for authentication, messaging, or analytics as configured for your deployment. Their use is subject to their respective privacy policies.
Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. You may request deletion of your account as described on our Delete account page.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us using the details on our Contact page to make a request.
Children
The Services are not directed at children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of those laws.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
